Many professionals who work with children are required to say something if they suspect child abuse. That’s why the Nevada County Department of Child Protective Services is putting on a free training session for mandated reporters…
Interim Program Manager Nicholas Ready (REE-dee) says that adds up to a few hundred people in the county. He hopes they all show up for the training session which will teach how to recognize child abuse or neglect, how to report it, and any recent changes in the law. The training session is next Monday (April 27) from 3 to 5pm in the Board of Supervisors Chambers at the Rood Center. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.
