CHP Embraces Social Media

The California Highway Patrol is embracing social media as a way to communicate with the general public. Statewide the Department has been using Facebook and other avenues to distribute information. The Grass Valley Office has been preparing to do the same.

CHPFacebookTassone has already posted some information about two Safe Start Classes that are being offered in the next month. He also says there will be localized traffic posts.

Tassone anticipates social media to be a quick efficient way to get information out during snowy or icy weather when local travel and schools are directly impacted.
