CHP Officer Offering Assistance Also Makes Arrests

Tassone says the women told the officer they were trying to get cell phone service. But then the officer saw evidence of marijuana inside the car, along with packaging materials. He ended up arresting 24-year-old Esmerelda Martinez of East Palo Alto and 26-year-old Jennifer Ruiz of Redwood City. Tassone says small amounts of the drugs were seized…about two ounces of marijuana, along with about half an ounce of methamphetamine.
