CHP Recruiting New Officers

An opportunity to learn about careers with the California Highway Patrol.
On February 28, the CHP Recruitment Unit will be hosting a “Law Enforcement Recruitment Event” at the California Highway Patrol Academy in West Sacramento. Public Information Officer Julie Powell says the event highlights all aspects of the Highway Patrol.

Officer Powell says the CHP is currently looking to recruit both women and men throughout the state to become CHP Officers.

The recruitment event is designed to educate women and men on the endless opportunities and benefits associated with a career with the CHP.

The recruitment event provides opportunities to:
• Learn about CHP career opportunities, salary, benefits, and retirement;
• Preview life at the CHP Academy and preparation for a career with the CHP.

Additional tests and background checks will be schedule for those passing the physical test.
