CHP Requesting Public Assistance

The CHP is requesting assistance from the public in identifying two separate hit and run drivers. The incidents both happened Thursday June 12th, but the drivers have still not been identified. The first incident involves a work type truck that pulled in front of traffic on Dog Bar Rd at the south end of Wheeler Acres Road. Officer Greg Tassone says the truck pulled out and hit a 97 Dodge.

Tassone says that the undercarriage of the truck and possibly the left rear end will show damage as rear of the truck rolled over part of the other vehicle.

The second incident involves a vehicle versus bicyclist on Combie Road. The bicyclist was heading west on Combie towards highway 49. The vehicle, a dark colored Ford Explorer, was also heading westbound.

The right side of the Explorer received some damage as the mirror and housing broke off when striking the cyclist. Anyone with information about either one of the incidents is encouraged to call the Highway Patrol.
