Christmas Dinner Drive In Final Days

Interfaith Food Ministry in Grass Valley estimates that around 13-thousand children and adults go to bed hungry every night in Western Nevada County. And their final push has begun to provide holiday dinners for as many as possible. Van Son says area grocery stores have been great partners each year, where you can buy a 10-dollar bag of food at Raley’s and Safeway in Grass Valley, or a 5-dollar bag at the Penn Valley Holiday Market. The value of the food is actually much higher. She says there are currently around 6-thousand families still registered with the Food Ministry, a number that has fluctuated only slightly in recent years…

The ham dinners will be handed out at the Food Ministry, on Henderson Drive, on the morning of the 19th.
