The gingerbread house competition once again was the fan favorite, with Kathy Kinney of Penn Valley winning the People’s Choice Award. The Best of Show Award, which is selected by the judges, went to the Files Family of Chicago Park. There were several other awards based on age classification, going all the way down to age five and under. Hauck says final attendance numbers aren’t in yet, but crowds were similar to last year.
