Cinderella Project Makes Dreams Come True

The Nevada County Cinderella Project will be accepting donated prom dresses during the whole month of February to give to Nevada County high school Juniors and seniors. Sarah Gordon saw the need and began the program 4 years ago, she is now the head Fairy Godmother for the Cinderella Project.

The Prince Charming project  makes sure the boys get help with their tuxedo rentals and the dress drive  during the  month of February  collects dresses, refurbishes them, then matches girls with the perfect dress.

Last year they collected about 400 dresses and over the 4 years that the Cinderella Project has existed Gordon says they have served over 200 girls and 50 boys.

The Cinderella Project does have one special request this year.

Dresses can be dropped of at Mill Street Clothing, The Union, Cedar Ridge Salon, Robin’s on the Avenue, Magikal Florist, Capuccino Factory, Launderland, and Gateway Personal Storage in Penn Valley.
