Just in time for some of the most anticipated movies of the year, Sierra Cinemas in Grass Valley has opened its CineCafe, adjacent to the expanded and re-modeled lobby and snack bar. Also, chicken strips and corn dog bites. LaMarca says food you can eat in the dark was one of the criteria for their menu. She says they didn’t want noisy utensils in the theaters, with everything finger-friendly, other than hot soup and chocolate mousse. The hope is to lure audiences out of living rooms, where there are more entertainment options offered these days…

LaMarca says the CineCafe is also open to non-theater patrons. During the holidays, it’ll open with the box office, around 12:30pm, and close at 10pm, every day.
