Richardson comes to Grass Valley from Auburn, where he was City Manager there for 11 years.
Meanwhile, Nevada City is looking to hire a new City Manager. The city had planned to use funding from Measure L which voters passed in 2012 for a full-time City Manager and Police Chief. Tim Foley was just hired as Police Chief, and now Mayor Sally Harris says it’s time for a new City Manager.

Brennan has been part time, and so were the previous police chiefs. Applications for City Manager will be taken online through the city’s website, or at City Hall. The application deadline is March 21.
