Less than a week to go now until the opening of the Nevada County Fair, and the fair has announced this year’s Hall of Fame class. Husband and wife Jim Drew and Karen Henderson will be inducted next Wednesday, along with recently retired Fair Manager Robin Hauck. Fair C-E-O Rea Callender says Henderson and Drew have been involved in agriculture for decades…
Henderson’s son, Patrick Eidman, is the current Fair Manager. His predecessor, Robin Hauck, is the one who came up with the idea of Community Involvement Day…
And they won that award for Community Involvement Day. Drew is on the Livestock Producers Board, which is integral in putting on the Junior Livestock Auction. In fact, Drew will be providing the commentary when KNCO broadcasts the auction this year. This year’s class will be inducted as part of the Opening Ceremonies on August 9.
