Tonight is the next First Tuesday Forum put on by the Nevada County Democratic Central Committee. And the topic is climate change. Host and moderator, Bob Branstrom, says it’s already affecting the local area. But he says the issue is too often viewed as something that affects other people….

Branstrom a panel of six prominent local experts will present their perspectives. That includes farming and meadow restoration. Also, someone from the local Climate Coalition on their plan for shifting the county to more sustainable energy sources…

Climate change impacts on water, the forests, as well as plants and wildlife, will also be covered. Questions will also be taken. The Forum begins at around 6 this evening at Peace Lutheran Church in Grass Valley. It’s always preceded by a social period, beginning at 5:30, where free pizza, salad, and beverages are also offered.
