Club Sierra Remains Closed

The new owners of the Club Sierra building say they are as surprised as anyone that the doors to the club were locked yesterday morning and a sign on the building told members to go to South Yuba Club to work out. The Club Sierra facility which was leased by Mike and Margie Blackston was recently purchased by the owners of the South Yuba Club Fitness Center. Mike Carville says when they purchased the property they had met with the Blackston’s to coordinate a smooth transition by the end of the month…

The plan was to have the Blackston’s and South Yuba Club Staff hold a transition event to acquaint Club Sierra members with the Staff of South Yuba Club, but Carville says that wasn’t allowed to happen,  instead the doors were just locked.

Carville says apparently the Blackstons just collected the dues for March and then closed the doors.
Carville says even though Club Sierra members paid their dues to the Blackstons, the South Yuba Club will honor their membership at their Clubs without additional charge. He says eventually members will be able to go back to the new Club Sierra after renovations …

Carville says next year in 2017, they have plans to convert the Pickle Ball court into an outdoor swim complex with fitness, tennis and swimming.  He says it will be  a great place for the community to exercise in a top notch facility.
