A man accused of 2 counts of attempted murder and various other felony charges was held to answer to the charges in Nevada County Superior Court yesterday. 25 year old Daniel Lucas Colondres allegedly was stalking and then broke into a woman’s home where he attempted to stab her and a male companion while they were resting in bed. A neighbor heard the commotion and chased Colondres off by hitting him with a golf club. Nevada County Assistant District Attorney, Anna Ferguson says the two victims are recovered and now doing well following the August 20, 2011 attack. Ferguson says she is anticipating moving forward with the case.

Colondres faces two counts of attempted murder with a special allegation of great bodily injury, first degree residential burglary, stalking, violation of a restraining order, and other charges. He will be arraigned at 1:30 pm September 10th in Nevada County Superior court.
