A fire at Combie Plaza near Lake of the Pines in southern Nevada County damaged three businesses early Saturday morning.
CalFire battalion chief Dave Stonum says the pet grooming business Claws and Paws was hit the hardest, but that Country Florist and an optometry business were also affected. Firefighters were able to avoid the further spread of the blaze, Chief Stonum adds.
