Power was restored to almost all customers by 5:00 PM.
Traffic was severely impacted on Combie and Magnolia as well as turn lanes onto Combie from Highway 49 well into the evening. Traffic controls were in place while P G and E replaced the broken power pole.

I was about 2 minutes ahead of that crash today going to Magnolia to pick up my grand daughter. I travel that road twice a day. I have to say the number of MORON drivers I see on that road and on 49 everyday is unbelievable. I would gladly pay more taxes to have CHP patrol that area more often. I realize that situations out of ones control do happen but I see accidents waiting to happen everyday.

The previously planned and approved upgrades from PG & E and the County will prevent this from ever happening again.

CHP has already upped the ammount of patrols on combie road. You have to admit that the pole needs to be moved... it has been hit 3 times in the past 14 months knocking out power.
