Combie Road Easter Accident Update

More information has been released about a car accident at Combie Road and Highway 49 Easter morning. California Highway Patrol Public Information Officer Dina Hernandez says a 28 year old Grass Valley woman lost control of her 2000 Dodge and hit a PG&E power pole. The energized power lines landed on the car and the road. Officer Hernandez says it took several hours to turn off the power.

Traffic had to be detoured until the scene was cleaned up. Officers were concerned that people were driving so fast on Highway 49 a more serious accident could have occurred. None of the people involved in the accident suffered serious injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
