Comcast Celebrates Leadership and Community Service

High school seniors from all over California gathered in Sacramento today for the Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Awards. Students who won the 1 thousand dollar scholarship attended the ceremony to claim their awards. Students were also surprised when two students won extra 10 thousand dollar scholarships and 25 students were awarded new Netbook laptops.

Local resident and Ghidotti High School graduate Jean Kono was one of the laptop winners.

Kono will be attending Standford University in the fall and says he’s excited about getting started.

The Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program awards scholarships to California students who display leadership and an outstanding commitment to community service.
