It’s something that has been going on nationally for several years, but has been absent from western Nevada County, until now. Both Grass Valley and Nevada City are holding events to commemorate ‘National Night Out’ this evening. The idea is to educate people about crime prevention, and also get neighbors together to interact and get to know their local police officers. The Grass Valley event is from 5 to 7:30pm. Nevada City’s is from 6 to 8pm.
