Community Conference on Disability and Aging

The FREED Center for Independent Living will be hosting an Aging and Disability Conference for the Community one week from today. (Aug.3rd)
FREED Executive Director Ana Acton says it will be modeled after one they did last year.

The Speakers will be different this year. Nevada County Behavioral Health Director Rebecca Slade will be giving information on Mental Health.

and Dr. John Preston a Psychologist from Sacramento will also give a talk on Mental Health and Aging. Throughout the day people can sign up for an assortment of workshops on various topics. Lunch will also be provided to attendees. Acton says the event is free but today is the last day to register for the event.

The Our Community-Aging and Disability Conference is going to be Wednesday August 3rd from 9 am to 4 pm at the Holiday Inn Express in Grass Valley.
