With a stormy weekend ahead, the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with Nixle to implement what’s called a “Community Notification System”. The Department says standard texting and messaging rates may apply. Once registered, residents will receive a confirmation text to their mobile device. All alerts will be targeted geographically, allowing residents to receive localized, relevant, messages.
