Congressman LaMalfa Pleased Budget Process Moving Forward

With the Senate passing the federal budget deal Wednesday afternoon, all that’s left is a signature from President Obama. In an interview with KNCO, California District 1 Congressman Doug LaMalfa says that the signing of the new budget will put a process in place that eliminates last minute resolutions and short term fixes that have been used to keep the government working.

Though the budget deal isn’t perfect, Congressman LaMalfa says that collaboration between the house and the senate is better than implementing sequester related cuts.

During the interview Congressman LaMalfa also spoke more about the budget, needed support for the military, working with a split government, his first year in Congress, and positive communication processes with his constituents.
