Convoluted Vehicle Theft Following Break-up Leads To Arrest

A woman scorned staged a vehicle theft following a break-up with her boyfriend. According to Grass Valley Police Lt. Alex Gammelgard on February 25th the victim had parked his Toyota pickup truck in a downtown parking lot, and when he returned it was gone. He originally though that the truck had been repossessed. However, on the 26th he received a call from an ex-girlfriend, Kristy Gordon, that alluded to the fact that she knew the whereabouts of the truck, but the truck was never located. Then on March 10th Gammelgard says the victim received a call.

At that time Grass Valley Police were notified of the recovery, and they attempted to contact the suspect Gordon, which they finally did on March 11th.

30 year old Kristy Gordon was booked into the Nevada County Jail and released on a 10,000 dollar bail.
