Copper Thieves in Auburn

Last Wednesday and again on Thursday April 4 and 5th, the Auburn police department investigated the theft of copper pipes from a building complex located in the 2300 block of Lindbergh Street near the Auburn airport. It appears there were multiple people involved with the theft, which took place during early morning hours or late evening hours. The amount of the copper pipes stripped from the walls and ceilings was extensive as the suspects were at the unoccupied buildings on one occasion for approximately seven hours. The complex consists of four separate buildings, which have a combined total of approximately two hundred and fifty thousand square feet. The exact quantity of pipes as well as the monetary value of the pipes is still being determined. Little is known about the suspects other than what was seen as the suspects passed by a
surveillance camera. The Auburn police department is requesting that if anyone knows the identity of the pictured individuals to please contact the department’s detectives at (530) 823-4237 ext. 221.
