CoRR Offers Limited Taxi Rides New Years Eve

Community Recovery Resources is making a limited number of taxi ride vouchers available for impaired New Year’s revelers to get home safely.  CoRR Development Director, Ariel King Lovett says this is the fourth year of the Safe Ride Home program.

For the past few years CoRR has provided vouchers to Gold Country Cab to provide rides to residents to reduce the number of impaired drivers on the road. Gold Country Cab owner Jamie Howell says many times the call comes from bartenders concerned about a patron getting home safely.

Last year Gold Country Cab provided around 20 free rides home.
