It’s a new service for Nevada County residents who are looking for a job. Beginning tomorrow (Friday), the Nevada County One Stop and Business Career Center will hold a monthly job search workshop at the Madelyn Helling Library. The workshops will be led by Career Center Advisor Marc Nocerino (no-chur-EE-no), who says it’s designed to help with computer job search skills…
There are computer programs that look through resumes. That saves time for employers, but it also makes the hiring process much less personal…
The workshops will be held monthly, with general information presented along with a focus on a particular area, such as social media or resume writing, which will be different each month. The first workshop is tomorrow (Friday) at 11am at the library’s Collaborative Technology Center. The workshops are free but you have to sign up by either calling the library or the one stop career center.
