County, City Approve States of Emergency

Both the Nevada County Board of Supervisors and the Grass Valley City Council have officially approved a State of Emergency following last week’s storms. The emergency declaration makes the area eligible for state and/or federal funding to aid in cleanup efforts. The Grass Valley City Council met last night. The special meeting of the Board of Supervisors yesterday morning only lasted six minutes.
