County Collects Old Tires for Recycling

A lot of old tires have been saved from becoming litter along the roadways, thanks to Nevada County’s recent tire amnesty event. Last month, people could drop off old tires for two days at the McCourtney Road Transfer Station, then two more days at the North San Juan Transfer Station and a day at the Washington Transfer Station. Elder says if you still have a bunch of tires and missed last month’s event, he’s planning another one for this fall.
