County Conducting Survey on Bridge Options

The Nevada County Public Works Department is still looking for input from the public on the future of the Edwards Crossing Bridge. The bridge, which carries one-lane of traffic over the South Yuba River on North Bloomfield Road, is one of the oldest bridges in the county, and has been deemed structurally deficient. The options are to rehabilitate the existing bridge, build a new one, or a combination of the two. So instead, there is an online survey on the county’s website where you can look at the different proposals, decide which one you like best, and leave comments…

The survey will be online through October 6, and Pack says the results will determine how county officials will proceed. You can take the survey by clicking here.
