As the State officially moved into Phase Two of reopening businesses closed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Nevada County believes they may be one of the first counties ready to self-certify and be cleared to open more businesses. Board of Supervisors Chairperson Heidi Hall made the announcement during a Friday afternoon press conference at the Rood Center.
Assistant Executive Officer Mali Dyck says that means once the county is approved, more businesses can open.
It does not include bars or health clubs.
Following the Monday morning meeting, if the plan is approved by the Sate Public Helath Department, letters of the support from The Board of Supervisors, Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital and Truckee Hopsitals, will be secured and the offical dcuments will be submitted.
The official review timeline is still not finalized, but officials are hoping it will be quick.
