The window for Round 5 of the Nevada County Relief Fund microgrant applications closes today Friday so there is still time to submit for grants of up to 5000 dollars. Public Information Officer Taylor Wolfe says the size of the grant is based on the number of employees at a business with sole proprietor is eligible for 1250 dollars. A business with 2-5 employees is eligible for up to 2500 dollars; and business with more than 5 employees eligible for 5000 dollars.
The application is available on NevCoRelief.org along with a list of eligibility requirements.
Businesses must be located in Nevada County, be for-profit, and have been in operation since at least March 1, 2020. They must also be in good standing with the County and it’s municipalities. Though priority is for those not funded yet by the Relief Fund, Wolfe says that does not preclude a business from applying.
The Nevada County Relief Fund has raised almost 1.3 million dollars since being established in April 2020.
