County Declares Mentoring Month

The Nevada County Supervisors passed a resolution proclaiming January 2014 as National Mentoring Month in Nevada County, and calling upon the people of Nevada County to recognize the importance of mentoring, and to look for opportunities to serve as mentors in our community.  Big Brothers Big Sisters board member Steve Rosenthal knows the value of being a mentor as he has been a big brother for 4 years to  17 year old NU Student Riise Kennard.*

Executive Director of the Friendship club Jennifer Singer joined  Big Brothers Big Sisters Executive Director Lindy Beatie and board members in receiving the proclamation.
