County Gets Grant for Free H-I-V Testing

Director of Public Health Nursing Cindy Wilson says they received 75-hundred dollars this year, and 16-thousand dollars last year, which will enable them to provide the simple blood tests, and also provide a counseling session. Wilson says it’s a coincidence that actor Charlie Sheen just announced he is H-I-V positive, but maybe his message can also help…

The tests are available on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at the Public Health Office–500 Crown Point Circle in Grass Valley. No appointments are needed.
