County Health Officer May Get Pay Bump

The coronavirus emergency also means a temporary bump in pay for Nevada County’s Public Health Officer. The Director of Health and Human Services, Ryan Gruver, says the Board of Supervisors will consider a 55-thousand dollar annual increase for Doctor Ken Cutler, to 266-thousand-300 dollars a year, at their meeting Tuesday morning. Gruver says duties also include providing support to the hospital and doctors, facilitating access to testing, and ensuring the quarantine and isolation of people infected. Also, making resources available for first-responders. This is Cutler’s third stint with the county. The current one began in January of 2013.
