There’s some new funding for Nevada County to help prevent homelessness. It’s called the Tenant Based Rental Assistance Program, and Housing and Community Services Director Tex Ritter says it could result in keeping people off the streets, based on income…
And Ritter says the money is either a loan, or a grant, depending on how long you stay…
A family of four needs to have an annual income of 46-thousand dollars or less to qualify, a couple cannot earn more than 36-thousand. The money just became available last month, so Ritter says it’s too early to tell how well the program is working. If you think this program can help you or someone else, you can call Nevada County’s Housing and Community Services Division (at 265-1645).
