County Official Hosts Conference in Sacto

Nevada County Auditor Controller Marcia Salter is in Sacramento, hosting a conference of state Auditor Controller’s that has some locals  wondering why it’s not being hosted in Nevada County.
Salter says, once a year the California  State Auditor Controller is required by statute to meet with the 58 County Auditor Controllers.  Salter says  she volunteered to organize the event this year for  the Auditor Controller’s Association and says the conference was already under contract to take place in Sacramento, which explains why the conference is not happening in Nevada County.

Marcia Salter contacted me in the summer to get information for the conference. I put together brochures on Nevada County for her to take down. She purchased coffee mugs to use as gifts for the speakers. She also purchased other items from local businesses. I feel that she is helping Nevada County the best that she can.
