Nevada County continues to prepare for the upcoming Military Appreciation Week. Though there have been events including a ceremony at the Grass Valley Veteran’s Hall leading up to the event, County Public Information Officer Taylor Wolfe says local businesses at a variety of locations are providing substantial discounts to members of the military and their families, as well as veterans.

The businesses are located in all areas of the county including Truckee, Penn Valley, Grass Valley, Nevada City,  Alta Sierra and the south county.

Wolfe says all of the the information about Military Appreciation Week is posted on the county website- myNevadaCounty.com/MilitaryAppeciation.

She says businesses still have time to register if they would like to be an official Military Appreciation Business. The online form only takes a couple of minutes to complete and submit.
