County Reaches Tax Agreement With Rental Site

Vernon says other rental websites have similar agreements, but air-b-and-b, which is the most common site, had held out. The owners who rent out their homes or rooms are legally responsible for providing the tax to the county, so Vernon says this agreement makes it easier for them, but it also help prevent owners from not paying the tax…

It’s not known exactly how many rentals are on air b-and-b in the county. Vernon estimates that it’s about a hundred, but she says this agreement will enable her to find out.
