County Road Chip Seal Projects Underway

The Nevada County Public Works Department will be doing several roads projects starting today and into the weeks ahead.

Public works Director Steve Castleberry says they pick the roads to get the work by an evaluation index.

Chip seal will be done on McCourtney Rd. between Lime Kiln and Perimiter, You Bet Road and Red Dog Rd near the intersection with You Bet, and a number of streets in Alta Sierra.

Other Roads to receive the chip seal include Clover Valley Road, Kenneth Court, Rainbow Road, Scotts Valley Road from Willow Valley to pavement end, Cooper Road, North Bloomfield from Derbec to Fontz, Derbec, and Back bone Road.

The entire project is expected to be completed by early September.
