County Superintendent Officially Retires Today

Even though school doesn’t start for another couple of weeks, this is technically the last day for Nevada County Superintendent Holly Hermansen. She announced her retirement early this year, half way through her third term, and with ten years on the job. Hermansen says there are quite a few things she proud of during her tenure…

Scott Lay, who has been at Clear Creek School in Grass Valley for 17 years, takes over on an interim basis until the term expires next year.
