Two returning and one new Nevada County supervisor were sworn in to their offices Monday.
Supervisor District I, Nate Beason and Supervisor District II, Ed Scofield are both returning to the Board, Beason for his third term and Scofield for his second, and Supervisor District V, Richard Anderson begins his first elected term serving the Truckee Area. Supervisor Beason says fiscal issues will continue to be a challenge.

The First meeting of the year for the new Board was Tuesday January 8. District IV Supervisor Hank Weston was nominated Board Chair, and Supervisor Beason was nominated Vice Chair.
