Court Considers Gay Marriage

The United States Supreme Court takes up the issue of gay marriage this morning, and will consider two cases. Today, the high court will hear arguments for and against Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage in California. Tomorrow, the justices will hear the Defense of Marriage Act, which prevents the federal government from recognizing gay marriages in states where they are already legal.
