COVID Cases Jump Another 207 In Three Days Here

Coronavirus cases jumped another 207 Saturday, Sunday, and today Monday in Nevada County, including another death, the 17th for the pandemic. The victim was another resident of an assisted living facility. 582 of the 1776 cases are now active, an increase of 232, and representing about a-third of the total cases. But there was no change in hospitalizations, it’s still 18. And ICU capacity for the Greater Sacramento Region, that includes the county, actually went up slightly, from 18 to 20-percent. A drop to 15-percent triggers the more severe shutdown order. 11-hundred-70 of the cases are in the western part of the county, which includes Grass Valley and Nevada City.
