With Nevada County now under the strongest coronavirus restrictions since the pandemic began, as well as an overnight curfew, the Sheriff’s Department has received a number of calls about enforcement. But Public Information Officer Andrew Trygg says it’ll remain primarily educational, like it has all year…
In a statement, Sheriff Shannan Moon says her staff will not use a suspected violation as the basis for contact, detention, citation, or arrest…
Trygg says it’s hoped that even a voluntary curfew, between 10pm and 5am, should help ease the recent surge in cases, with fewer people out.
