Crash, Minor Injuries on Highway 49 at Alta Sierra

Traffic is moving again on Highway 49 in the South County after a multi-vehicle crash at Alta Sierra Drive. Highway Patrol Officer Greg Tassone says it happened around 3pm, but what *exactly* happened is still sketchy…

Tassone says there were initial reports of a vehicle fire, but that turned out not to be the case. Tassone says there were some injuries…

They were able to keep one lane open to move traffic through, but it took about an hour and half to get the roadway clear. Again, the cause of that accident is still under investigation.
