A couple of weeks ago, Ward was ordered to stand trial, following a prelminary hearing. Ward is charged with killing 61-year-old Kenneth Pestana in June. A trial date had been scheduled for November 28th. Walsh also said at the time that Ward had not waived his right to a speedy trial, meaning a trial had to be scheduled within 2 months of the preliminary hearing ruling.
