Cup With a Cop Event in Nevada City

Yesterday morning was the monthly  Cup with a Cop event in Nevada City. Police Chief Tim Foley says it’s a chance for local residents to talk to their police department in a friendly setting about their concerns.

Chief Foley says some people just wanted to talk about sports, one father brought his daughter in to meet the officers before heading off to work and school. Other’s wanted to talk about the traffic.

But the biggest issue by far people were concerned about this time around is abuse of puppies.

Foley says the puppies don’t appear to be more than 3 to 4 weeks old.

Chief Foley  says he will be contacting animal control and also meet with Grass Valley Police to see what they can do to contain or stop the people peddling puppies.
