Cutler Announces Planned Retirement

Nevada County’s Public Health Officer has announced a planned retirement, effective July first. In a news release, the county says while Doctor Ken Cutler had been anticipating retirement in the spring, he stayed on, because of the pandemic. The county recently extended his contract, including a hefty raise, which made the position essentially full time, through June 30th, until a successful recruitment for a replacement could begin. It’s now scheduled to begin on June 10th. Cutler has been Public Health Officer for three separate stints, with the latest one beginning in January of 2013.
