Nevada County’s Public Health Officer says computer models show that social distancing is working, and re-emphasized that we must be really careful when it comes to re-opening businesses and getting back to normal. Speaking during YubaNet’s ‘virtual town hall’ yesterday, Doctor Ken Cutler went through Governor Newsom’s six criteria for re-opening the state. He says one of the keys is that social distancing will still have to be practiced once the doors open and people get back to work again…
During the town hall, there were several people asking questions related to golf courses, and when they should be allowed to re-open. Cutler says they are supposed to be closed, but he’s looking into eventually modifying outdoor guidelines…
This comes after Alta Sierra Country Club was reportedly told to shut down last week, but opened again two days later. Members of the Nevada County Country Club have been seen on the course in Grass Valley.
