D-Day Anniversary Observed in Grass Valley Today

It was 75 years ago today that American and Allied forces stormed the beaches at Normandy. The invasion has become to be known as D-Day, and local veterans are honoring that day in Grass Valley today. The American Legion will be holding a brief ceremony, similar to their Memorial Day festivities. It’s at noon today at the Grass Valley Veterans Building on South Auburn Street.
